Book seaplane flights on any Indonesian route, through one independent desk

Book Seaplane is a booking desk, not an airline. You send one brief; the desk places it with licensed Indonesian seaplane operators, returns a full-aircraft quote with its own fee disclosed, and coordinates the jetty, tender or resort at the far end. We own no aircraft, hold no AOC and are affiliated with no operator. For the national route picture, see indonesiaseaplane.com.

Fork 1 of 6

Where do you want to land?

Tap one. The rest of the tree draws in The Six Forks below, ending in the desk page that fits, the fields to send and what the operator decides.

The Six Forks

Six questions a booking desk asks before it can quote

Answer them and the tree routes you to the fitting desk page, the exact fields the desk needs, and the points only the operator can decide. No price is computed here: every seaplane price in Indonesia is a full-aircraft quote from a licensed operator, with the desk fee disclosed inside it.

Fork 2 of 6

How many on board?

Operators publish up-to-8 premium-seat configurations. Above that means two aircraft or a split party.

Fork 3 of 6

Anything beyond soft bags?

Payload is decided by the operator under the aircraft's maximum take-off weight; day-of weigh-in applies.

Fork 4 of 6

One leg or several?

Each landing point on a multi-leg plan is confirmed separately.

Fork 5 of 6

Who is paying?

Company invoicing changes the paperwork, not the aircraft: entity, proforma, IDR or USD.

Fork 6 of 6

Departure window?

Under 72 hours the desk can only place an availability request, not a hold.

Verdict

Answer all six forks and the verdict appears here: the fitting desk page, the fields to send, and what the operator decides.

Quote anatomy, and the brief the desk needs

There is no per-seat or per-hour tariff for seaplanes in Indonesia. Every price is a quote, and every quote has the same skeleton. Send the eight fields on the right and the desk can ask an operator for one.

What every seaplane quote carries

  1. 01
    Full-aircraft base charter

One figure for the whole aircraft on the leg; operators state they do not sell individual seats.

  2. 02
    Airport and handling fees

Charged at the runway end of the leg, by the airport, passed through on the quote.

  3. 03
    Tax

Applied per the operator's invoicing entity and the payer's status.

  4. 04
    Water-landing or jetty coordination

Where a site needs a boat, a platform or a pier crew, it appears as its own line.

  5. 05
    Waiting time

For returns and multi-leg days where the aircraft waits with you.

  6. 06
    Desk coordination fee, disclosed

The desk's own line, shown in the quote, never folded into the operator's price.

The brief: eight fields

  1. Origin airport or water site
  2. Destination
  3. Date window
  4. Passengers and approximate weights
  5. Luggage: pieces, kg, case type
  6. Connections: inbound flight number, resort booking, yacht name and MMSI
  7. Private aircraft or seat request
  8. Flexibility on date and time
Soft bags, a hard camera case and dive gear on a dock beside a seaplane float
Pieces, kilograms and case type: the three luggage facts an operator weighs against payload.

Approximate weights are enough to start; exact weights come at the day-of weigh-in. Read the full walk-through in the Seaplane Booking Guide or open Seaplane Quote for what the reply looks like.

Water landing, offload and payment norms

Water-landing sites need regulatory approval and are never guaranteed until the operator confirms. Below: the eight priority locations named by the Ministry of Transportation, how passengers actually get off, the liveaboard gateways, and the payment practice you should expect.

Why a desk, not one operator

What changes when a booking desk sits between you and the aircraft

In the Maldives a seaplane transfer is a routine hotel product with dozens of rotations a day; Indonesia in 2026 is a charter market where routes, sites and approvals are still being drawn, which is why routing honestly matters more than a booking button.

Ten fork endings

Every leaf of the tree is a real desk page

The ten products below are where the Six Forks send you. Each card names the fork that leads there.

Before you send

Five answers people need first

Can I book a single seat on a seaplane in Indonesia?

No. Operators sell the full aircraft; there is no per-seat tariff as of Sep 2026. The desk quotes the whole aircraft and, on request, can note that you are open to sharing, without promising a match. See Shared Seaplane Booking.

How much does a seaplane cost?

Only a quote answers that. One dated public example: South Bali to Gili, about 30 minutes, full aircraft Rp 43,875,600 one way plus airport fees and tax, as published on santaiseaplane.com and captured 18 Sep 2026. Your figure depends on route, date, payload and coordination lines.

How many people fit on board?

Operators publish up-to-8 premium-seat configurations. Nine or more means two aircraft or a split party, and the operator confirms what is possible on your date under payload limits.

Can the seaplane land at my resort or beside my yacht?

Only where a water-landing site has regulatory approval and the operator confirms it. Otherwise the desk plans a mixed-mode day: seaplane to the nearest approved point, then boat or road. See resort transfers and yacht rendezvous.

What happens if weather cancels the flight?

The operator makes the call. Refund, credit or reschedule follows the terms printed on your quote, which the desk walks you through before you pay a deposit.
